One major challenge with the original environment was the use of multiple platforms, in multiple cities, using multiple vendors -- a setup that caused administrative difficulties, user displeasure, and breeches in security.

RPM has over 1,600 users worldwide and used a wide range of email platforms that included Microsoft Outlook, Novell Groupwise, and Lotus/ Domino. They needed a common messaging solution with centralized storage that included various IBM storage solutions.

CDW was asked to design a solution that would provide messaging efficiencies, increased productivity, and decreased operating expenses.
